Taillens SA — Restaurant in Lens

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the tea room Taillens in Crans sky resort, canton of Valais, Switzerland.

This charming Tea Room in the heart of Crans-Montana offers an impressive variety of pastries and international breakfast-style dishes, from egg-based specials to sweet treats from around the world.

I had the cheese and mushroom omelette with a side of avocado (which wasn’t on the menu but was kindly offered without hesitation), a blueberry tart that was absolutely delicious, a freshly made orange-lemon-ginger juice, and a well-balanced cappuccino. Everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavor.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, happily accepting special requests and making us feel welcome. That said, service was a bit slow — not due to any fault of the waitress (who was excellent), but likely because the place was understaffed, especially during a very busy weekend with a nearby car show. The Tea Room was packed, which seems to be a regular thing given its popularity.

In short: great food, lovely atmosphere, and well worth a visit if you’re in central Crans-Montana — just expect a short wait...

It has a wild selection of bread and of course pastries as well. It makes chocolates, too. Taillens has two tea rooms and bakery shops; one in Crans and a second in Montana. If you want to mingle with the locals you go tò Montana, if you want to be surrounded by visiters, then you choose Crans Montama. Bad customer service vencent the bar waiter was so rude to us and disrespectful we asked for a virgin mojito he said there is no mojito i told him that i came here before and got a mojito then he asked another waiter if there is a mojito and the waiter said yes after that he made us a mojito with only lemon and water without sugars or serups and when i told them to take it and make me one with a serup he was mad and told them to tell me there...
