Finally, vegetarian cuisine created and served with soul in Switzerland. Enter FlowFood located in an inconspicuous building outside downtown Lucerne, lit like a place of worship near a highway. Plan to see a smiling chef in the kitchen window glancing around to be sure you appear comfortable while the friendly hostess seats you and lets you try to understand her Swiss German;) Plan for the chef to also greet you at your table and ensure you understand the special dish of the evening-- in my case, dumplings made with cabbage and chick peas in some kind of divine sauce you will not be able to describe later. You should enjoy samosas that are light, without much spice, but make you feel that your food is truly supposed to flow... and then if you're like my husband and me, you'll have a pakora appetizer while your husband raves about how the pastry, layers wrap around cauliflower, creating an explosion of something very nice before your main course. If you are like me and have muscle pain and trouble sleeping, you might find yourself falling asleep on the way home, and then sleeping heavier than you have in at least a year. You'll wake to need to share Flow Food with others and plan for your next meal there. More restaurants should serve food this way... There's so much more... The waitress who calls you because you forgot your purse. The chef who shakes your hand when you leave an bows... Only go to Flow Food with an open mind and heart plus a craving for vegetarian food made with soul. You won't be...
