In the Martigny/ Valais region on a short trip, looking to satisfy our fondue cravings. Cafe du Valais was a great find! The fondue au safran and the fondue aux bolets were delicious, we couldn’t decide which we liked more. The wine pairing and the Valaisanne platter were really nice as well! Café du Valais Martigny is a great restaurant! It has a very warm & authentic atmosphere and the owners are very welcoming and pleasant. We (3 adults and 3 children) had the cheese fondue with a local white wine (of course) and a mixed cold-cut platter. All were delicious and the whole was definitely greater than the sum of its parts. Rustic old "rock" bar. All wooden. Good music playing from old school rock to more recent things. Prices are really fair.
