Food 7/10 Service 3/10 Atmosphere 6/10 Menu 7/10
Three waitresses, all serving me at once – ordered or not, they kept circling back. I got asked five times if the food was tasty, always with my mouth full, which made it less so. Service feels chaotic and needs a complete overhaul; the attitude toward guests is mediocre. The food itself is okay, but the uniforms are a disaster — I’d burn them. Don’t expect anything grand or particularly delicious, but you also won’t be terribly disappointed either. The dessert menu is a joke – apart from ice cream there’s practically nothing, which is ridiculous for a pizzeria. I asked for dessert first and espresso after, but of course it came reversed. After dessert we were completely forgotten. And the worst part – some guy in dirty clothes casually walked into the kitchen and then came out again. Deliveryman ??? Not exactly reassuring. On top of that, some of the glasses had visible fingerprints, and the shelf they were stored on showed clear signs of negligence. To make it even stranger, at 9 pm there was still a “Reserved at 4 pm” sign sitting on the big round table — apparently, it’s...
Read moreFood: the pizza here is very nice! It will arrive a little wet so you need to let it rest a bit and solidify. Normally this would be done in the kitchen but I was there on a Saturday and they were packed so they were sending food as they made it. Once rested, the pizza is packed with flavour!! Meaty, cheesy, hearty.. they hit all the marks.
I gandered the other menus items and watched as they left the open kitchen but I would stay on the pizza menus, everything else looked irresponsible.
The service is bad, unfriendly, and rushed but that’s what you can expect in a tourist town ready made for drunk, foreign, skiers. You will not feel welcome but you won’t care after tasting their sud-tirol style pies. Service is just not their thing, but they are efficient and can turn a table in minutes having you sat and ready to eat in no time.
The atmosphere is good, warm and inviting with electric candles and warm lamps and natural wood throughout.
This is the top pizza place in town, I walked in the others that were open and they were empty unfortunately.
5 stars overall because I rate based on the town and not overall experience....
Read moreWarning to tourists! This restaurant does not serve tap water - and tricks you. What was outrageous was the very specific request for tap water because Swiss water is clean, reliable and safe. No explanation to say this is not possible. We were charged 15 chf for 2 bottles (looked like carafes with flip lids) of water. After the meal and when the invoice was presented, they said they do not serve tap water!!!! And so without explaining that they do not serve tap water, served still water. AND the flip lids were not sealed so I suspect we were served tap water anyway and charged premium sill water prices. I thought there was a law against not serving Swiss tap water at restaurants. Also offended that the server did not explain and deliberately ignored our request. Also, it wasn't like we were being stingy, we bought wine beer and main dishes and desserts. We just like drinking Swiss water...
