Pho ardoise — Restaurant in Montreux

Such an incredible find! We are Viet Chinese on vacation through Switzerland, looking for something other than fondue and Wienerschnitzel. Finding Pho Ardoise was like winning the food lottery! The food is authentic and tasty, with the Nem rivaling those of my mum’s! On my way to the restroom I saw the owner enjoying a bowl of Bún bò Huế which I hadn’t seen in Europe in years! Sadly it’s not on the menu, but when the chef heard how disappointed we were, she whipped up 2 bowls and it was honestly like being transported home to mum’s cooking. We were so thrilled and grateful!

What a find in Montreux! A lovely little restaurant in a seemingly uneventful part of town. The staff were so sweet and willing to offer their recommendations. My husband ordered pho and we were blown away by the flavour. I haven't had pho that flavourful since traveling in Vietnam, it was incredible. I had the bo bun and we shared some spring rolls (nems). Everything was so yummy and it was the perfect break from all the heavy Swiss food we've been eating....

I was so surprised and beyond satisfied! The flavor was 100% authentic, just like back in Hanoi or Hue. The space is cozy, a little small but quiet, and beautifully decorated with Vietnamese cultural touches. I highly recommend it to everyone.
