La Trattoria — Restaurant in Nendaz

We had the pleasure of dining at La Trattoria on the evening of July 21, 2024, and we are reaching out to express our sincere appreciation for the exceptional dining experience the restaurant provided.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Eduardo and promptly seated. Throughout the evening, the service was impeccable - attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Shortly after, my family joined me, and we felt truly well taken care of, enhancing our overall enjoyment of the evening. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the cuisine crafted by Chef Alberto. Each dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and elegantly presented.

It was evident that a great deal of care and attention to freshness went into each dish, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite, especially noting the freshness of the seafood and lamb served.

The calamari in the Sautéed Calamari with Rosemary Chickpea Cream was tender and flavorful.

The sauce in the Clams Sautéed with Croutons was delicious, with the mollusks being sand-free, albeit petite in size.

The Lamb Chops with Provence Herbs served with fries were cooked medium-rare, without any strange or overpowering odors, boasting a juicy pink center and a perfectly seared exterior.

The Fritto of squid, prawns, and zucchini was light, crispy, and expertly prepared, ensuring the seafood was not rubbery. An extra portion ordered for take-away was quickly devoured by our children at home.

The Grilled Fish platter featuring red mullet, octopus, squid, prawns, scallops, prawn skewers, whole sea bream, grilled mushrooms, zucchini, and accompanying chips was worth every penny! The scallops were immaculately seared, tender, and succulent.

The Carbonara was prepared in an authentic Italian style, non-creamy, and the portion size was generous.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the team for creating such a memorable dining experience. The commitment to excellence truly shines through in every aspect of the restaurant, and we will certainly be recommending the restaurant to our family and friends. I’ll start by saying the food here is very good. Also I was really pleasantly surprised with how quickly everything came out.

Unfortunately the service we had was awful and our waitress kept forgetting about us and then leaving many things out like glasses for water with the water or one of the glasses of wine.

The worst part of this place is the loudness from the kitchen. The noise and yelling coming from the kitchen really made the whole experience even worse. It wasn’t just normal order yelling, it was just loud yelling and sometimes between the staff. They also kept slamming all of the plates down making everyone in the restaurant turn to keep seeing what was going on.
