Hot garbage. In the 11 years I've been eating in Swiss restaurants, this was probably the worst meal I've had. They badly need to change chef, rethink how they manage their inventory, and lying to their customers. We had filet de perche (which tasted like actual soil, as in dirt with no hint of seasoning garlic or anything really, and with a texture of shredded paper) and chf50 entrecôte which was clearly defrosted while we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, then asked when the adults food would arrive (because the kids had been served and finished theirs 5 minutes previous, and they're not fast eaters), then complained, and complained again. 35 minutes after we ordered the food arrived, and the middle was cool, and the meat shows a distinct line where it was defrosting the core. It's always a bad sign of your steak arrives already cut in half, because it means the chef needed to check it was done in the middle, because it's cooked from frozen. Especially if it takes ages to arrive, it means it wasn't even kept in the fridge beforehand and it was taken from the deep freeze. Apparently this passed inspection, and was presented with all the apologies of a waiter who knew what I was about to try and eat. My partners perche was as bad as the ones they served the kids - I lived next to La Nationale in Versoix for 8 years so I've had some very good perche, and this was just slop. I felt guilty giving it to the kids actually, and pretty robbed that my steak was so tense, tasteless, watery, and tepid but paid in full and wrote this while eating my Manu Gelato. In summary one of, if not 'the' worst perche and entrecôte I've had in Switzerland, but maybe this is what passes for decent food in Vaud, who knows. Seriously, get a proper chef, this place...
Read moreI have given star 1 rating only cos the waiter was so so rude. A skinny man, who rushed to our table the moment we took a sandwich to eat from the bakery next door, really aggressive tone. The story goes- we ordered coffee and croissant. They ran out of croissant and we were really hungry as our hotel didn’t offer breakfast. I understand that normally we can’t eat from outside in a restaurant. Instead of coming to us and telling us off extremely rudely, he can tell us in a normal tone, give us some options from their restaurant. We heard him also being super rude and loud to the table behind. My aunt and uncle are from Nyon region, even they told me that the day he is serving they either go to another restaurant or to a table where he is not serving. All others are nice and friendly. Cappuccino...
Read moreWe were always incredibly loyal customers of this restautant. We loved it until today. All the people who run this restaurant are so lovely except the one guy working there today. We tried to go into the restaurant and instead of saying "sorry there isn't any space left, so sorry. Do you want to wait?" But no, he was awful and spoke harshly to my kids, my mom and sister and I, giving us no option to wait. He pushed past rudely. I couldn't believe it because the entire inside had like 10 empty tables. It is possible they were reserved but it is also possible by how awful this guy was to us that he simply didn't want the noise of my kids and family. We have literally been coming to this restaurant for 5 years many times a month. Really bummed by...
