Plage de Nyon — Attraction in Nyon

I have rarely experienced such a lack of customer sense as at La Plage de Nyon. At 6:30 pm the entire terrace was completely empty, yet the staff flat-out refused to serve a simple drink because they claimed the restaurant would be full in half an hour. Not only were they extremely unpleasant in their manner, but this kind of attitude shows absolutely no understanding of hospitality or business. Any establishment with the slightest idea of customer service knows that welcoming guests for a drink is how you build goodwill and future business. Here, it seems the opposite applies. A wonderful lawn area by the lake. A series of concrete steps lead to a shallow area that is safe for kids. At the far end is a small pebble beach. The lawn is beautiful maintained, free to access, has very clean toilet facilities and has a restaurant and bar on site. There is parking on the main road but it fills up quickly. It’s a short 5-10 minute walk out of Nyon town. Take the path along the lake front to avoid walking...

Pretty nice swiss style beach - not too crowded, grass strip for lounging, easy entry and the dipoing via concrète entry steps. Parking strip is not too big, but not impossible, needs à macaron, up to 3 hours.
