Restaurant Kam Yu — Restaurant in Pfäffikon

Just treated myself to a delicious meal at this Chinese restaurant in Pfaffakon. I'm here for work and by myself and I had a delicious shrimp in garlic sauce with veggies dish that I thought "wow! No way am I going to eat all of this." Huge gigantic shrimp cooked to perfection. I ate every single morsel plus the side bowl of steamed rice. Hella expensive but totally worth every penny. I throughly enjoyed! I had a glass of red wine which was so tasty and reasonably priced I almost had a second! The Asian waitress brought me the bill and said said something in German which I presumed was "check?" And I clearly said " yes, thank you". I was wrong, it was the dessert menu!. Dang I was already stuffed beyond words,... but could not resist and ordered a single scoop of chocolate ice cream/ gelato. So reasonable and sooo good. I could have ate 3! Anyway the entire meal was yummm and I can see why everyone rates this establishment so high. I will definitely be coming back. Cost of my shrimp dish was exhorbitant, but heck it was well worth it . I deserved it...

Schon bei der telefonischen Reservation war ich von der Freundlichkeit begeistert. Und als wir heute über Mittag da waren, ging es im gleichen Stil weiter. Freundlichkeit, Flexibilität, Kundenorientierung absolut top.

Auch das Ambiente vermag zu überzeugen, auch wenn wir über Mittag nicht an den weiss gedeckten Tischen sassen. Alles ok.

Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und schmeckte grundsätzlich gut. Wir hatten jedoch das Gefühl, dass die Speisen etwas „eingeschweizert“ wurden. Uns fehlte das typische chinesische Element. Wenn ich die anderen Rezensionen lese, scheint das aber für das Gros der Gäste nicht wirklich ein Problem zu sein. Ich persönlich hätte es einfach gerne etwas authentischer...

Die besten asiatischen Gerichte bekommt man hier! Das Essen ist sensationell, die Frische der Zutaten merkt man sofort. Alles ist noch schön knackig und die Portionen sind ziemlich gross was ich super finde! Leider konnten wir wegen Corona bisher noch nicht im Restaurant selber essen sondern das Essen via Take a Way beziehen. Das Personal ist immer extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Weil das vorbestellte Essen noch nicht bereit war (wir reden hier von lediglich 5min Wartezeit) wurde uns und den anderen wartenden Gästen sofort etwas zu trinken angeboten (kostenlos!). Das nenne ich mal...
