Brilliantly restaurant. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was so flavoursome. Pizza had a superb taste with a great thin crispy base. The food is well priced and we had really friendly staff. If you are English speaking they have English menu options available , I find this handy if you are not familiar with German ingredient names. Will definitely be going back again. Thought I’d add to this review , we have been back many times and have never been disappointed, I would however suggest that on weekends (including Friday nights ) I would phone to reserve a table. I find this restaurant is pretty popular around 7pm onwards , Ofcourse there is more seating outside around the summer months which is fabulous, however not pleasant for the winter months. In the winter the restaurant is really warm and cosy. Also the location is fab, after a lovely meal you can walk along the river Rhein. If you don’t fancy walking all the way back to the main train station you can catch a bus near the bottom of the town which takes you to the main train station in...

In fact, the service here is the best I have had. From the time you step into the restaurant you feel welcomed and the owner is always around to greet the customers. My favorite dish are the cannelloni. I have been several times and it has been consistent every time. They offer a decent selection of wines and everything in the menu tastes great. Prices are actually very reasonable (let's don't forget that this is Switzerland). When I am in the mood for Italian, the first name that come to my mind is Casanova and 90% of the time is the place I end up eating. My wife and I just love this place, and you will too. So do not be shy and...
Read moreOnce we were seated we saw the negative comments about the service: who cares if the owners and waiters are Italian or not? As an Italian: food was good, that's all that matters. Nevertheless, what matters is that we ordered a small pizza but they finally brought a normal pizza instead and we ordered 1L tap water and they charged 5 francs for it... I get that they could charge 1 franc in some places "for climate" even if that will have no impact at all, but 5 francs for tap water in Schaffhausen! What's so special about that water?? 😅 I liked the pizza but I wouldn't come back or recommend it, only for the water...
