Stayed at the hotel de la poste and had a lovely stay. Room was on the top floor of this 2 storey hotel and was lovely. Was mentioned that I was in the honeymoon suite but I would not have guessed as the room did not seem to have anything special other than the beautiful view. That said it was good. I slept with the window open as it was very hot. Room did have a fan which helped circulate the air but this was a little noisy. With the window open you can hear the trains pass which was not too often thankfully. Staff speak a little English but if you speak French you will have not problems. ||Reception closes at about 9.30 and you have to use your room key to gain entry after this time. ||Breakfast was very good. Continental with lots of choices and typically French. ||Sierre is a lovely town and is a great place to visit if you like walking. Spectacular scenery. I walked to the Lac de Geronde which was 10 minutes walk. Lovely swimming pool and lake to enjoy. ||Close by to the hotel there are numerous excellent restaurants. ||Note - Switzerland is very expensive so don't come here if you're on a tight budget. I wasn't extravagant but an evening meal for one will set you back...

Read moreAlthough I stayed only one night, my experience with the hotel and its staff was great.
I was arriving by train late in the day, and because of the possibility of delays there was a chance I wouldn't make to the hotel within the specified check-in hours. In my communication via email with the hotel staff, I felt reassured that no matter what time I arrived, there would be a way to get into the hotel and into my room. Fortunately, I arrived in time to catch the restaurant still open, and one of the staff was able to check me in without any delays.
The hotel is small, and my room was even smaller. But, with that said, I can say without any hesitation that the cleanliness of the room, the great choice of minimalistic decor, and great use of available space, made it for a very comfortable sleep and stay.
The staff is great and location is phenomenal, being just a few steps away from the train station and right in the downtown area of Sierre.
There's a restaurant on site, but also many options within walking distance.
All in all, only great things to say about the hotel...
