Surprisingly bad. My parents live in Switzerland and had been to this restaurant a couple of times with no complaints, so we decided to come here for my birthday.
We waited an hour and a half for our food to come (no apology when it came) and when it came, every piece of meat or fish we ordered was dry as a boot. I got the filet de porc — “slow-cooked” — and I was kind of shocked at how dry and chewy it was. My dad’s monkfish was also ridiculously dry, and the entrecôte de boeuf was supposed to be medium rare but was also — you guessed it — dry as a boot (and tasted like it was seasoned with Chinese 5-spice?).
Why are we paying high prices for something we could have cooked better at home?? We flagged this with our waiter, who got me a pasta dish and took my first meal off our bill, but that was it. No other offerings, or actual apology. I don’t know if you hired a new chef after recently reopening, but it wasn’t a good experience across the board. Bad service, the waiter barely gave us a glance and grunted to show he understood. Table cloth was filthy, stained and full of dog hair from the previous guests. Waiter didnt think it necessary to change it. We ended up removing it ourselves and putting it aside.
