Bao Gong — Restaurant in Spiez

The high rating must be fake. I would rate it zero star if I could. My wife and I were misled by this fake rating and went to the restaurant for dinner after a long day of travel. The experience was absolutely awful. It started with a cold face of the owner when we entered the restaurant. We had no idea why the owner of the restaurant was so unhappy when she saw us. Since we walked over 20 mins to the restaurant in pouring rain (because upon several days of travel we wanted some authentic Chinese food), we decided to stay in spite of the lack of hospitality. We quietly sat down and waited for 10 minutes. Nobody even bothered to bring us the menu. I walked to the front desk and asked about the menu. This time the owner pointed to a pile of menus with her chin and suggested me pick one up myself. I took the menu and returned to the table. The menu was a disappointment. The dishes on the menu were not authentic Chinese food at all. It seemed that they were crossing a handful of sauces with different meats to create the menu. No idea how could such a restaurant get a 4.2 rating.

That's not the worst. We would have tolerated the non-authentic food if they bothered to serve it. But we waited and waited and waited. No one came to our table, not asking what items we wanted, not asking whether we wanted any drinks. Interestingly, a little bit later a white couple walked in and sat down at a table right next to us. This time, somehow magically the owner remembered that she's in restaurant business and walked right past our table to welcome them, give them menus, and asked them what they would like to drink. She then returned to serve drinks to that couple, took their order, and went back to the front desk. In doing so she walked past our table several times but never bothered to stop. My wife and I were astonished by such treatment and finally decided to leave.

My wife and I have been to many countries and restaurants. It is the first time that we were treated with utter contempt and negligence like this, as if we were some low life. It was definitely sickening and chilling. Strange enough, we received such treatment in a Chinese restaurant by a fellow Chinese owner! We would not want anyone to be treated this way and that's why we are sharing our experience. It is actually our first review on Google, simply to alert potential customers who can be similarly misled by the 4.2 rating. Beware!

我们打算同样留下中文的建议给那些看到评分后想要尝试这家餐馆的华人。可惜google review不让我们留下0 star的评价，否则我们一定会打0分的。

这个奇葩的故事是这样开始的。多日的旅行让我们夫妻非常想吃一次正宗的中餐。我们从谷歌里搜到这个这个餐馆，4.2的评分让我们眼前一亮，尽管外边下着小雨，我们还是决定乘坐火车从旁边的因特拉肯赶来。让我们没有想到的是，我们一进这个餐馆的大门，迎面就得到了餐馆老板娘的一个黑脸，好像我们的到来给她带来的不是生意，而是霉运一样。好吧，也许我们多心了。我们很自觉地找了一个桌子安静地坐了下来。然后就是漫长的等待，大概等了10分钟左右，居然没有人来服务，没有菜单也没有人来哪怕说一句话...... 我便自己主动走过去问老板娘有没有菜单，老板娘冷淡的示意我自取，然后就不说话了。我很没趣地拿了菜单回来，然后和妻子打趣道是不是以前在哪里见过这个老板娘，得罪了她？讲实话，拿到菜单后一看，心里就凉了半截，这菜的名字总结下来就是用5-6种酱料炒4-5种肉，豆腐，和虾等，然后就是排列组合。本着对4.2评分的好奇，我们决定还是尝一下味道先，也许味道十分惊艳？接下来又是漫长的等待，大概又过了10分钟，居然还是没人来问我们要点什么...... 然后故事的高潮来了，我们等待的时候进来一对外国人，紧挨着我们坐到了我们的桌子后边，这次老板娘的眼睛居然能看见了！老板娘主动上去搭话，然后问了要喝什么，完全忘记了我们比这对外国人早来很长时间。然后从我们身边走过，依旧一句话都没和我们说，仿佛我们不存在.........

The Asian/Chinese food restaurant that has verryyy gooooddd taste. Recommended to try! Any asian tourist/visitor in Spiez that craving for asian cuisine, come to this restaurant. We order their Cantonese fried rice, Noodle with pork, Chicken fried rice (with chili/spicy).

They also have very chinese decoration and atmosphere like calendar, painting, etc.. Even the tea pot also using an authentic chinese style 👏🏆

This Chinese restaurant is very good. If you are from south east asia, you will definitely like the chicken fried rice, cantonese fried rice, noodle with pork. The meat are soft and tastes similar or better compared to most restaurants in Indonesia.

If you have the chance to talk with the chef directly, I think you will get customized food tailored very close to your home...
