Altstadt Pizzeria zur Mühle — Restaurant in Sursee

we started with multiple bruschettas and salads, the salads were well liked and so were the bruschettas. they were tasty, crispy and just great over all.

we've ordered 4 pizzas and 1 risotto. the risotto was enjoyed and the pizzas were good. nothing very special, but enjoyable. my brother complained that his pizza was a bit doughy and a bit burner, but the rest of the group didn't have the same complaint.

only thing that was very disappointing was the "oglio piccante" - the spicy oil... it wasn't spicy at all. it was plain olive oil with peperoncini. even the peperoncini by themselves were not spicy.

after the main course we got some dessert. a lava cake; which was very delicious and chocolatey, with the perfect consistency, accompanied by an espresso. a coup dänemark; which also tasted great, everything one wants in a coup dänemark. and also two tiramisu; we really enjoyed the tiramisu. they just taste like well made, and also self made tiramisu. we really recommend...

This pizzeria is located in old town Sursee in a historic building that used to see a mill, hence the name of the place. You can still see the nearby canal and a scaled down mill wheel inside the restaurant. The wood fire oven is right in the middle of the restaurant and you can watch the pizzaiolo at work. All our pizzas were delicious! You can also choose whole-wheat doe at no extra cost. Besides many pizzas, you also find numerous pasta dishes to choose from. Friendly and accommodating staff....

Wir haben heute einmal Pizza in der Mühle bestellt, da die Pizzeria Schweizerheim leider Ruhetag hat. Nie mehr wieder sag ich nur! Pizza zum Abholen um 12 Uhr - 11.59 Uhr war ich da, erstmals werde ich nicht bedient, obwohl ich gleich neben dem Pizzaofen stehe. Der Pizzaiolo hat mich dann mal angesprochen und eine Serviertochter gerufen. Diese ganz frech, was ich denn wolle; Ich habe 2 Pizzen zum Abholen bestellt, es sind Wunschpizzen, da die Mühle andere Namen hat als Schweizerheim, das Frölein am Telefon jedoch meinte, es sei kein Problem, sie haben diese Pizza auch... dann werden erstmal die Augen verdreht, der Pizzaiolo sagte ihr welche Pizza es sei, diese wollte aber nicht auf ihn hören. Nach 1 Minute suchen, obwohl die Pizzen schon bereit lagen, gab es die Pizzen dann doch... für CHF 48 Fr.

Zuhause: Pizzen selber schneiden, selber würzen und dann die Krönung - Pizzen kalt. Der Teig (Vollkornteig, obwohl nicht so bestellt), wurde gebacken, aber die Zutaten auf der Pizza waren kalt... also eine etwas bessere Bruschetta als eine Pizza.

Der Preis für dieses Endresultat zu hoch! Es war eine Vegi Pizza - die ist niiiiiiemals soviel wert! Für dieses Geld erhalte ich bei Schweizerheim eine heisse, leckere Pizza mit Rucola, Rohschinken, Parmesan... oder die Fasnachtspizzen mit viel Belag.

Ergo: mich und mein Gefolge wird die Mühle sicher nicht mehr als Gäste...
