I used to like the place. But arriving at 22 and seeing that we cannot sit because quite a few tables are (still) reserved for eating, is very disappointing. The only option available was outside, and it's already a bit cold for that.
Also, I find it very disgusting that people are allowed to smoke inside, and the DJ music apparently is only for them, the smokers.
I guess I should start going to Zeughaus more often.
Update: I wasn't given any option, just to sit where the barrels are (very uncomfortable) or outside (already cold), I certainly wasn't informed that I would be informed if someone would leave.
What I don't understand is why at least 4 tables were reserved just for eating at 22:00, empty, when they could be accommodating us or someone else for drinks. I seriously doubt that so many people would eat that late in Switzerland.
I am happy if the non-smokers area will be improved soon, at least.
Update 2: I don't know who you are talking about but we weren't three, but two, and there were at least four tables available but still reserved for dinner, at 22. If somebody spoke with you that we were leaving it certainly wasn't my friend. Thanks for the offer but I am not writing you, I just think that the service should be much more flexible and welcoming, customer-centric, which definitely wasn't the case the last time we went there, and that is why we left.
Again, it's ridĂculous to tell your customers to sit outside or in the uncomfortable area of the barrels (that was empty for that reason) when you have several empty tables, reserved for food, that realistically will not be occupied anymore. Seriously, it's just about caring about your customers, the rest doesn't matter. The way it happened the message I received is "I prefer to keep all those tables empty than giving one to you", which isn't really a nice...
   Read moreDas Pub hat eine echte, gemĂŒtliche Pub AtmosphĂ€re. Die Mitarbeiter/ Bedienung super, freundlich, fröhlich, aufmerksam, humorvoll und effizient. Was mir aufgefallen ist, dass das Pub sehr sauber und aufgerĂ€umt war.
Das Essen: Die Karte war hĂŒbsch presentiert. Ich genoss einen gemischten Salat, Chicken Nuggets und Pommes. Meine Begleitung SpĂ€tzle mit KĂ€se.
Der Blattsalat war absolut frisch und köstlich. Aber ich mag keinen Gurkensalat, der vorbereitet wurde, weil der vorbereitet oft " schlabberig" wird und der Geschmack ist dann nicht gut. Zudem ist er schwer verdaulich. Die Karotten waren auch nicht frisch gehobelt und der Mais zu mastig. Ich gebe zu, dass ich eher heikel bin beim Essen... Ich wĂŒrde das nĂ€chste Mal nur grĂŒnen Salat bestellen. Die Nuggets waren fein, auch der Dip. Die Pommes.. nicht hervorragend, aber fein.
Mein Begleiter liebte das SpÀtzlegericht!
Der Wein und das UsterbrÀu sehr gut.
Was mich restlos glĂŒcklich gemacht hĂ€tte, wĂ€re zum Kaffee ein SchokolĂ€dchen gewesen, aber das nur am Rande.
Ich habe den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, gerne wieder!

Ein schöner Abend mit wirklich gutem Essen, AtmosphÀre und leckeren GetrÀnken. Der Prosecco (ohne Eis) ist einer der Leckersten, und der Malbec aus Argentinien wirklich ein Genuss.
Die Bruschetta sind sehr zu empfehlen, gutes, knusprig getoastetes Brot, und herrlich, frische Tomaten, einfach lecker.
Die Chicken Nuggets und Pommes waren sehr gut.
Was mich sehr erfreut und ĂŒberrascht hat, war die Kugel Eis, die sehr fein war und mit FrĂŒchten dekoriert. Soviel "leckeres Plus" fĂŒr eine Kugel Eis!
Und! = zum Espresso gab es ein feines Lotus Biscuit đ
