So so.
This is a restaurant that offers two menus. One Indian. One Italian. Which is very strange, they should do one or the other.
Went with the Indian options first for dinner.
The Pyaj Pakora came in the form of 5 battered and fried Indian spiced onion rings with very little shredded lettuce and some well presented purees on the plate.
I found it to be a perplexing dish as I have been to many Indian restaurants and ordered this type of Indian dish and have never been served onion rings. It should be replaced with the actual authentic dish or just removed from the menu especially for the price and of 10CHF which is a lot for the little that it is.
Ordered the Chicken Madras and vegetable rice for the main.
The curry was too salty and in my opinion barely spicy. It came with very little sauce and the chicken could have been more tender. A lot of room for improvement and should be called a chicken curry as it is not a chicken madras.
The vegetable rice was good. No problem.
Maybe this restaurant is better for their lunch menu or intriguing buffet option or perhaps for their other menu offerings.
In conclusion the atmosphere was nice but the portions were small, not cooked 100 well and expensive even for...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant and had the most enjoyable experience. The owner Ravi opened the door and greeted us with a big smile. Being Indian, we are quite picky about Indian food and he did not disappoint. Everything was cooked to perfection.
The chicken tikka and seekh kabab melted in your mouth. The dal lamb reminded me of the dal gosht that my dad would make every Sunday. The palak paneer was yummy. And the chapati, Keema Nan and garlic nan were to die for. To top it off - the Gajar halwa was perfect - not over the top sweet like a lot of places.
Highly recommend this place for delicious...
Read moreThe lunch buffet is wonderful! When we were seated, we were told, "Naan is included in the buffet. Would you like the natural, garlic, or cheese"? Only to then receive the bill with 8CHF in addition for the naan. I learned at that point that only the natural naan is included. So with a (special?) naan, the lunch menu is 31.90CHF. What made it worse was the way the waitress spoke to us- no apologies and pretty aggressive.
I hope they will consider communicating with their customers more transparently and improving the customer service, at least for the...
