The hotel operates a complimentary shuttle service from the airport and you simply wait at Gate 4 of the Arrivals Hall. The transfer takes less than 5 minutes.
At check in I was acknowledged swiftly as a Platinum Priority Club member and it was confirmed to me that I was being double upgraded. I was also advised that I was being given access to the Club Lounge on the 8th floor. The receptionist was helpful and knowledgeable.
On entering, the room was quite spacious. There was a large bed and all bedding and pillows were immaculately laundered. There were electronic blinds and these were very effective in ensuring near total blackout. Although close to the airport, the hotel is very well soundproofed and I was not disturbed by either the planes or traffic. The air conditioning was very effective. There was a hospitality tray that included hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee and chocolates were placed at the side of the bed every day. Room cleaning didn't start until 10:00, ensuring that guests were not disturbed early. On 3 occasions my key card failed to operate either the door or the lift and had to be replaced on each occasion. The bathroom was spacious with lots of good quality towels and toiletries. It had 2 sliding doors to the bedroom that could be closed for privacy if needed. This made the whole room feel more spacious. There was a large bath tub and a modern free-standing sink.
The Club Lounge was largely unmanned and served a simple continental breakfast until 10:30. Complimentary drinks and very simple snacks (biscuits and croissants) were available all day. In the evening there was an attempt to serve canapés however the range of items was limited to just one or two.
There was a reasonable sized gym and sauna available to guests. Whilst this was unmanned, staff did visit regularly and the whole area was immaculate, with a lots of fresh, clean towels.
At checkout I was able to extend my stay until 14:00 and the hotel was able to store my bag until my flight was due.
Whilst the Crowne Plaza may appear to be a ways out of the city, this was not an issue as a complimentary bus pass is provided for the duration of your stay. The Number 10 bus runs every 10 minutes and the journey to the city centre takes less than 20 minutes. It is actually a pleasant ride. My choice of this hotel was a good one and the overall standards enjoyed made it relatively good value in a city infamous for...

Check-In: Check-in was a bit slow, but the staff was accommodating. I had a suite upgrade voucher that couldn’t be applied due to a system issue, but they still gave me a slightly better room with lounge access. The front desk agent was patient and understanding, which I appreciated.
IHG Platinum Welcome Amenity: Across IHG properties, the welcome amenity is usually pretty forgettable—I often skip redeeming it because it’s not that appealing. But here, I’m glad I did. Instead of just a standard drink, they included a small tapa, which would easily cost 20–30 CHF. It felt thoughtful and was one of the better Platinum welcome experiences I’ve had.
Airport Shuttle & Transport Card: The shuttle from the airport was a bit slow, but I still appreciate that it’s available. The free Geneva transport card is a great perk and makes getting around a lot easier.
Dining – Seventy5 Restaurant: My experience here was a little awkward. I wasn’t greeted upon entry and had to go to the counter to order. Could’ve been a cultural or language gap, but it didn’t feel very welcoming. At one point I even wondered if staff were talking about me, though maybe I was just overthinking it.
Lounge & Meals: Lounge access was a nice perk—great for grabbing drinks or light snacks throughout the day. Breakfast was the same each morning and pretty basic. I would’ve liked to see eggs or a little more variety. Happy hour was better: limited alcohol, but they offered a different tapa each day, which was a nice touch.
Other Notes: – I wish there was a self-service laundry room. It would’ve been useful, especially for longer stays or travelers on the move. – The elevator system could use better signage. It wasn’t always clear which elevator was arriving or where to go, which could be frustrating—especially for those with impairments. Even something like light...
Read moreChecked in at around 12.30pm and both our rooms were available. As a Diamond Elite the hotel upgraded two rooms to King Premiums on the 8th floor and gave us all Lounge Access.||The guy at check in was really nice, he gave me the option of my welcome amenity of which I chose breakfast and he extended it to the other room also. This was one of the best check-in experiences I’ve had 10/10.||I felt that this hotel was really going above and beyond to look after its loyal guests and every interaction with a staff member was pleasant.||I was certainly really impressed at this and it’s this sort of experience that builds loyalty. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or return here for another visit. ||The lounge has just wine and beer between 5-7pm and a few snacks but we appreciated it so we could unwind after the day. There is a nice ambience and it isn’t staffed. There are plenty of soft drinks and always plenty of fruit. ||The room was spacious, immaculate, had a well stocked minibar, place to sit and good air conditioning. Sockets next to the bed, the green was not my favourite colour but the bathroom was aesthetically pleasing. ||Breakfast in the restaurant was tasty, high quality produce and staff who were constantly replenishing and collecting plates and generally being so friendly and looking after you. ||We also got sent our free Geneva travel cards which was just perfect. This is a huge benefit, it’s worth 8 CHF per person per day at least and it meant we could take the number 10 bus to / from the city, it was all very easy and the stops are right next to the hotel.||We didn’t need a late checkout but I don’t suppose it would have been a problem. All in all, the hotel delivered everything perfectly with really pleasant and lovely staff. ||I hope to...
