Restaurant Gitz-Gädi — Restaurant in Zermatt

We live in Zermatt most of the year and go to this amazing place regularly. Often just for a drink after skiing or in the summer for a late lunch after hiking. On 25th December we came for a Christmas lunch with the whole family, incl. 2 kids and a dog and got a great table in the corner. All the food we had was delicious and the service very efficient, despite of the restaurant being fully booked. Even when busy, one does not have the crammed feeling as in the other places because of the clever design and decoration. Thanks, Silvana team, see you soon! Update January 2024: We were there several times since the first evaluation and everytime the food & service was great. My Rösti with salmon portion today was so large, I was glad we walked up all the way from Zermatt, despite of very cold temperatures. My friends burger was delicious, too....

Cozy, beautiful, and DELICIOUS restaurant in the Silvana Mountain Hotel. My group of friends went there for my birthday dinner and were shocked to discover that they had decorated our area with birthday lights, balloons, and streamers. An absolutely lovely restaurant. Service was impeccable, and the meal was one of our favorites during our trip to Zermatt. We walked to the restaurant from town, which took about an hour, but the restaurant provided sleds and a flashlight for us to ride back into town via the road down the mountain, so fun!
