Damm — Restaurant in Zurich

Was looking for an outdoor beer garden and this popped up on the list. Initially was expecting a more traditional setup, but it's more of a restaurant with an outdoor courtyard. Lots of interesting places to sit, fun decorations, and good people watching.

I got there around the dinner hour and it was buzzing with people. There were four waitresses who were all simultaneously covering tables and requests of people as they passed by. I thought they did a good job, despite some wait for things I ordered, but it was a leisurely meal for me, so it wasn't a problem. Be prepared to get their attention if you're looking to order something after sitting.

Food was okay, but not really the driving force to visit. I was alone, but it was clear it was a good place to meet up with larger groups. Saw a few larger parties celebrating together. Everyone was very friendly, and accomodating, even tho I didn't speak the language. Menu was in German, so be sure to have Google Translate if you don't speak/read...

You book but cannot really book because "just come there is always place". You come, there is a place but you need to free out of a sudden because somebody booked (although you could not).... service at the bar, pick-up at the kitchen but you need to queue and queue at each round... service for price is miserable. Location is nice, today toilet odors were dominating.... I will never go back? they are enough better and similar...
