Terrible service! We arrived around 19:15 and ordered a salad with two main course. The salad came after 10 minutes but they never brought our main courses. I noticed other tables around us came later but they finished and left while our food was still not there. At 20:30 I asked a Vietnamese waitress, she said: she doesn't know, then she came back and said the food is cooking, it's coming, because we ordered 2 courses, that's why we have to wait for the 2nd one. I told her: "I understand that we need to wait , but makes no sense as we waited more than an hour and the food is still not ready." she told me " it's like this here, everyone need to wait". At the end we left at 20:50 WITHOUT having our food. I would have stayed to wait for our food but the way the waitress replied really made me upset. Why couldn't say a sorry and just admitted that they forget our order. I never been in any restaurant that I have to wait 1h45 but the food is...
Read moreI was soo looking fwd to a nice Vietnamese food dinner with my dear friend. Yet we are very very disappointed with the horrible service/ management of orders. I got my food 40 minutes after order and then waited my friend's order to arrive approx. 10 mins more without service care to our follow ups. Total 50 mins until we got upset and my friend cancelled her order. I can only comment the food i got Bun Bo vegetarian, that it was good. However, it was the worst eating experience ever, as i was eating and my friend was not (understandably waiting 50 minutes with no attention from them - they even tried to ignore contact with us to follow up) they didn't even have the courtesy to apologise until we got up to complain. We noticed they did mistakes with orders couple of times go wrong table and ours. Not again. We are not that desperate for a meal. Very unprofessional manager too. What a shame! Dinner on...
Read moreI'd like to give this place higher ratings... The guy was very nice and friendly, made space for us even though we didn't have a reservation. The summer roles were great -- and overall portions were HUGE! But I didn't feel the flavors were interesting or authentic (despite the great sounding story on the menu)
My experience in Vietnam was mostly the Mekong delta, Saigon and Hanoi + north... So maybe central Vietnam cuisine is just kinda boring? Somehow I doubt this.
The curry was really just like someone who didn't understand the spices, careful roasting to bring out flavors and vietnamese specific ingredients. Tasted like the bulk "curry powder" that one finds in Chinese grocery shops.
The Phở was tasting nothing like it should. Ingredients were not balanced, eg too much tofu. Anyhow, we were at An Chay 2 weeks earlier and agreed it was like night and day as for the quality of the vegan...
