Il Grappolo — Restaurant in Zurich

We had an absolutely lovely dining experience. On our first evening in Zurich on a recent trip, we looked up for dinner options close to our hotel and this place showed up at walking distance. Tired from travel, we walked in a little close to closing time but the atmosphere was superb and lively and very very refreshing. The outdoor dining area is beautifully setup and the vibe is great!

Despite being late, our host offered to sit us down and serve extremely delicious and hearty food along with some beer. The service was extremely friendly and our pizzas were perfect!

I ordered a starter and a pizza, but both were served simultaneously. The pizza was then taken back to the kitchen. I don't know if they made a new pizza or simply reheated it.

The starter was a Tagliata di manzo, which is simply fillet beef with arugula salad and balsamico dressing. It was therefore very strange that the waiter asked me if I wanted French or Italian dressing for the salad. An Italian restaurant should not ask that question, they should already know how to make the starter.

I am Italian and I tried pizza everywhere in Italy and also abroad. I must say in full honesty that this one is possibly the BEST pizza I have ever had in my life!!! The courier, Cem, was extremely kind and has delivered our pizza in the best possible way. I really don't know how he did it, our pizza was super hot like right from the oven and at the same time my beer was freezing cold the way I like it, WOW! What else can I say? This kind of service makes your evening a good one...
