Nüni — Restaurant in Zurich

Ambiance is great, factory style and good light music, lively vibe. Although do see some rats running but I guess it’s because the grass in the park.

I choose this place to have a place to drink and have a meeting after picking up Taylor Swift’s merchandise on Tuesday noon. One strange thing is that after sitting there for 1.5 hours no one took my orders — even talked to one waiter who seems quite extrovert and welcoming when I walked in, I said to him I’ll be sitting outside and have something to drink, he replied he will be out in a minute. After that things start getting a bit weird — two waiters walked by in front of me and carried some cans to somewhere, but even noticing me sitting alone still no one take my order, and I made eye contact with the waiter I talked to, he looked quite nervous, and a bit avoidance but still didn’t come to take my order. For me it’s a bit next level, can anyone works here explain it to me?

Ok so then why the waiter told me I can take a seat 😅? And why you guys passed by multiple times saw me not ordering for 1,5 hours but...

Nüni – Mezze Heaven in a Cool Neighborhood

Nüni is a total gem tucked into one of those up-and-coming industrial neighborhoods that’s getting a serious glow-up. The space is stylish but unpretentious — kind of that perfect mix of urban edge and cozy charm.

The mezze here is next-level. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. You can really taste the quality in the ingredients, and there’s a nice balance of traditional flavors with a bit of a modern twist.

Only downside? They don’t offer the degustation mezze menu for solo diners, which was a bit of a bummer — would’ve loved to sample more without having to commit to full portions. That said, what I did have was fantastic, and I’d still come back in a heartbeat.

Bad service, rude waitress and special treatment if you are sitting with the boss or not.

6 guys are eating dinner next to us so I go to order food for myself. I am told off to get only snacks because I am sitting on "that side of the restaurant". As they refused the service of serving dinner I start to complain about the special treatment of the neighbouring table. The waitress tells me it is what it is and the boss is sitting on this special table, refusing even to point out who the boss is so I can talk to him. Of course I did not order the snacks. And of course I plan not to visit the place again.

Later she comes with the snack menu trying to exert our table to order snacks, asking our 6 person table to order within 3 minutes before the kitchen closes. 30 sec per person to read and decide - quite the...
