During our Taiwan trip, we made it a point of tasting douhua wherever we could. The ones offered at Chenggong Douhua were one of the best. The tofu tasted very fresh and smooth in a lightly sweet syrup. We ordered one with red bean and another grass jelly. The latter was very refreshing. We went during a weekday so there was no line. Staff were friendly and efficient. Bonus point: the resident cat was affectionate.
BTW, we were lucky that the shop was open that day. Our driver said that he had been there twice and the shop was closed both times. Apparently they didn't have...

The douhua is freshly home made. Comparing to most made by factories, the bean taste is much more natural. Service can be better. The staff seemed a bit inpatient when I tried to enquirer about flavours available and other options. Worth visiting if u happen to be in neighbourhood but definitely won’t come to town...
