桔梗JIEGENGE — Restaurant in Da'an District

An unexpected wonderful experience, we picked this place randomly on a rainy day. The menu had very interesting sandwiches, I don’t quite remember the creative ways they named these, but it was basically: Hong Hong Wanchai style, Korean fried chicken, Thai spicy fish, and a vegan option. Then there were other omelette brunches and smoothies. We ordered a Wanchai sandwich and a “Tornado” omelette. The dish arrangements were amazing, it made you want to dig in immediately. We noticed that other tables of two usually share a smoothie that comes in two glasses (also beautifully arranged) and one of the sandwich or brunch dishes. Pricy but so good, but but...waiting time is too long, not equally distributed, and when checked back again after one hour of wait, they are calm and lack of expression to explain why , so basically you just have to just wait or just leave, one hour of waiting time is unacceptable and wishes they could improve more, and put more on smile on their face while serving (with service fees included for each transaction ), this place is obviously opened by very young generation and have no experience dealing with issue, I guess if it's not fixed soon, I will salute and give a sayonara to them because lots of better places around Da-An district, why we need to bother...

As a picky eater, this place blew me away.

Their mochas are chocolatey. The 'spicy lamb risotto' is so hearty and perfectly spicy.

The berry smoothie is slightly sweet and very 'earthy'. It has so many berries, oats and herbs. It is not a typical sugary smoothie.

They will recommend the seafood sandwich to you. Please have it. It's amazing. It's huge!

The cinnamon roll is the best I have ever had in Taiwan because it is not overly sweet.

The mushroom brunch set is amazing. They give you a mushroom and cheese omelette and four, small, thick slices of toast.

The portions are big here. The CP value is very high.
