Chez Nous currently a quarantine hotel in Taipei, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. It is the best hotel stay experience I have ever had, and I have been to many places around the world, including some 5-star hotel/resorts. I cannot say enough about the top-notch quality and service this hotel provided. My experience started with the initial reservation process. It is required by the Taiwanese government for anyone entering the country to quarantine for 14 days after arrival. I chose to stay in a hotel and wanted to be sure I have at least one window in the room that could be opened. I had called many hotels, but most didn't have what I was looking for. When I called Chez Nous, Eugene was able to accommodate my needs and reserved a room with a balcony for me. However, he advised that due to limited guest room availabilities, I would need to change rooms during my stay. From their website, they had photos of the beautiful rooms, I was just happy to be able to book one. In addition to the room reservation, Eugene connected me with an airport shuttle service with a reasonable rate. Once all these reservations are in place, then I was able to focus on other protocol of my trip. When I arrived and cleared customs at Taoyuan airport, the Shuttle driver was there waiting for me and brought me to Chez Nous. Upon arrival, Eugene and others at the hotel sanitized the luggage and brought them to the room. Eugene then told me that they made some adjustments and room change was no longer necessary during the 14 days. That was such a wonderful surprise especially after a long journey. When I stepped into my hotel room, I found not one but two balconies. The room looks just like what I had seen on the website. It is well designed and all furniture well placed. I especially appreciated that there is no framed “art” on the wall. One of the balconies faced the high school sports field with lush green grass and open space. With the view, I felt tranquility and relaxed immediately. That feeling remained during my entire stay. The hotel provided phenomenal service. The staff was courteous and responsive with my questions/requests through out the day. All communications were done through LINE messages. They accommodated all the requests to the extent possible and each meal was delicious and prepared with light oil/low salt and no MSG. My Uber Eats orders (to satisfy the bubble tea cravings) were brought up as soon as they were delivered. Every day, each meal was prepared in the hotel restaurant and placed in an insulated bag outside my door. On the day of my departure, Eugene and the owner of the hotel went above and beyond what a hotel would provide, and I truly appreciate their kindness and assistance. I had thought the experience for the 14-day quarantine would be terrible but thanks to Chez Nous, it was the best relaxing “vacation” I have ever had. I will look back at these 14 days with fond memories. I will come back again and recommend it to anyone else who may be looking for...
Read moreIf you have to, you must choose an isolated hotel. Especially when the world is opening up... But this is Taiwan's policy and we must respect it! Therefore, we have chosen this admirable hotel from thousands of choices! So I give them five stars. First of all, from the beginning to the end of the stay, all the staff are full of sincere care and remind every detail. They will try their best to meet the requirements of the guests. I feel that their intentions do their best to make customers satisfied! I am very grateful for this! Helped me through the unforgettable 12 days of my life in this era of great quarantine 😀 The staff at the restaurant were very attentive during this period! Every meal served is never repeated. In addition to the main meal, there are also fruit desserts or drinks. Every meal is fun and sometimes exciting for me! I've never even ordered takeout because it's not necessary for me!
To me the room looks like a photo! ㄧ There are plenty of sockets in the room. Even most are international sockets. The internet speed is also fast and there is no problem at work.
My favorite is the large balcony! Made me spend a lot of very boring time. Take a breather, soak up the sun, have a cup of coffee, read a book, surf the Internet, and listen to music. draw... The room is clean and tidy with all the amenities. The drying system in the toilet is also great. There are also a lot of TV channels, and even YouTube. and a movie station with 170 videos. You can also pass some time on TV. As the quarantine is over, I would recommend that you bring some items to make yourself comfortable...such as essential oil diffusers. Various fragrances. Books and magazines. Simple picture book brushes. Comfortable slippers. throw pillow. own cutlery. Sauces used in food. Your favorite coffee, tea bags, etc. You can make yourself more comfortable during quarantine. This is very important for physical and mental health! I hope the era of the Great Quarantine will end as soon as possible. Taiwan is back to normal! You can come back and check in normally. Thank you Manager for leading the...
Read moreThis is my third quarantine hotel in Taipei and also happens to be the best! I had the standard room with balcony overlooking the basketball courts. The room was clean and well-designed. It wasn't spacious yet I never felt cramped.
The balcony had a table and two chairs and was where I spent most of my mornings, rain or shine. I was so grateful to have access to an outdoor space. It really made a world of difference for my well-being. I also loved the fact that the neighboring buildings are pretty far away so the view is quite open.
The bathroom is equipped with a Toto bidet and a clothes drying function, a godsend when you don't have a washer and dryer. Each room has its own, independent HVAC system, a pretty important feature during the pandemic.
The internet was fast and reliable; I never had an issue on my zoom calls w/ clients back in the US. There are numerous lights in the room so you can adjust the brightness in different ways to your liking. This is important b/c I stayed at a hotel that was really dark and difficult for me to work at night.
The meals, prepared by the chefs in the restaurant downstairs, were delicious, healthy, and offered quite a bit of variety. I never got a repeat meal in the 10 days I stayed there and looked forward to every meal.
You can rent a yoga mat and kettlebells for free. An exercise bike is also available for a pretty decent fee (I think it's 150 TWD/day). There is a mini fridge, a pretty decent sized closet, and a safe. They also provide a pair of slippers in addition to plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There were also sponges and a Swiffer-like floor cleaner to keep your room clean. Last but not least, every single member of the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. I didn't have any issues with my room, but I did have a couple of questions, which were addressed immediately.
I hope I never have to quarantine in Taipei again, but if I did, I'd want to do it...
