Nestled in the charming streets of Taipei's Yongkang district, 白水豆花 is a culinary treasure that specializes in one of Taiwan's most beloved desserts: tofu pudding (豆花). This unassuming yet inviting dessert spot promises an authentic and unforgettable experience for your taste buds.

While it's important to note that 白水豆花 offers tofu pudding at prices higher than your average street-side dessert stall, the quality and flavors justify the cost. Dining here is a treat that transcends the ordinary; it's an exploration of the subtle complexities and indulgent textures of Taiwanese cuisine.

The menu at 白水豆花 is a testament to their dedication to this classic dessert. The star of the show, of course, is their signature tofu pudding. Each spoonful of this silky-smooth delight is a revelation of taste and texture. It's a dessert that captures the essence of simplicity and refinement simultaneously. The tofu pudding is characterized by its velvety texture and delicately sweet flavor, making it a comforting and satisfying treat.

One unique aspect of dining at 白水豆花 is their reservation policy, where each person must order something. This means that sharing food is not allowed, ensuring that each diner has their own portion of the delectable tofu pudding or other dessert options. While this might be different from the sharing culture of some restaurants, it helps maintain the quality and integrity of each dish.

白水豆花's menu extends beyond the classic tofu pudding. They offer a variety of toppings and flavors to cater to a range of tastes. Whether you opt for the original silky tofu pudding paired with a sweet ginger syrup, or explore more adventurous combinations like red bean or taro toppings, you'll find something to tantalize your palate.

During my visits, I couldn't resist trying some of their specialty creations. The mango tofu pudding, for instance, combines the creamy goodness of tofu pudding with the vibrant sweetness of ripe mangoes. It's a refreshing and indulgent choice, especially on a warm Taipei day.

The cleanliness and hygiene standards at 白水豆花 are commendable. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the staff takes pride in ensuring a clean and comfortable dining environment. Due to the small size of the establishment, it tends to get busy quickly, especially during peak dessert hours. To secure a table without a long wait, making a reservation in advance is highly recommended.

Now, let's talk about the service. The staff at 白水豆花 are friendly and attentive. They're more than happy to explain the menu, provide recommendations, and cater to any dietary preferences or restrictions you may have. Their commitment to ensuring your dessert experience is enjoyable is evident in their service.

In conclusion, 白水豆花 台北永康 is a dessert lover's haven in Taipei. While the prices may be higher than average, the quality, authenticity, and rich flavors of the tofu pudding are unparalleled. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or eager to explore inventive combinations, this tofu pudding place should be high on your list. Make a reservation, savor the velvety tofu goodness, and indulge in the sweet pleasures...

The place is small with limited seating, so no sharing if you want to eat inside. This was my first time trying 豆花. I'd passed by many 豆花 shops before, but their appearances didn't appeal to me, so I always skipped them. Then, someone took me here. Surprisingly, the tofu pudding was good. I ordered the grass jelly variant because I don't like tapioca balls. It's not too sweet and tastes fresh with the tofu—which is perfect. The ground peanuts add more flavor, and I don't need to chew hard (whole peanuts as a dessert topping are ridiculous).

I can't say much about the price since I was a first-timer, but I think 85 TWD is reasonable considering the nice presentation and the cute little space in adorable street. I’ll definitely come back...

We passed by this little dessert shop and one of the girls making the dessert invited us in to take a look and explain the pudding they were serving, she was so friendly. We had somewhere to be at the time, but made it a point to go back 15 minutes before closing. The girl was there and welcomed us, even if closing time was soon after our arrival. The pudding was really good, with the soy milk very soft and smooth. The syrup was not too sweet and the crushed peanuts were a nice touch. We had the pudding standing outside at a standing table next to their wall of greenery and a candle, it made for a lovely way to end our evening exploring Yongkang Street.

For Filipinos: this is similar to Taho but more delicate in flavor...

Bai-Shui Tofu Pudding is conveniently located on Yong Kang Street and offers a more elevated and modern take on the popular soft tofu pudding dessert that is perfect for summers. The menu consists of two dine-in options of their silky smooth tofu pudding dessert with candied peanuts: one with tapioca and another with grass jelly. Both are excellent and the clean, modern decor and emphasis on tofu pudding sourced from the Yilan River explains the slightly higher price point and need for a minimum order of one per person. It ended up being our favorite douha of the trip 📷Tofu Pudding with Peanuts and Tapioca NT$85 / Tofu Pudding with Peanuts and Grass Jelly NT$85 Dining is indoor only, no reservations, and cash only
