A very tiny old historic walking area with Japanese style architecture and landscape. There are a few restaurants for the tourists to enjoy a couple hours. I brought my parents to have tea and cake a few years ago and my parents like this area. You don’t need to spend too much time or money and still enjoy a little historical flavor walk! Good place for taking pictures and 20 minutes is just enough! I would suggest the management company to place more benches for the tourists under the shade. I hope they will add more details in English for foreigners in the future because it actually has an interesting history of Taiwan during the colonial period. The public bath for men is locked, but you can ask for a key from the staff. The female room has turned into a commercial area. The shops in this area are all expensive, but some are worth trying as well. From what I've read, this area in the past had many food stands, but when the government took over the prison rights, they needed to move away. Some even gave up their businesses.
