Yongkang Street is also one of the must-visit spots to visit, where you can taste delicious food, look around featured stores for souvenirs, or hang out at the cafe with friends. Take Red Line (Tamsui – Xinyi Line) or Orange Line (Zhonghe – Xinlu Line) to the Dongmen Station, Exit No.5. If you mention the most famous Taiwanese food, most of the people will say “XiaoLongBao” .Din Tai Fung” is widely known for their “XiaoLongBao”, the original shop is located next to Yongkang Street, people always make a line to taste the amazing dumpling with 18 folds delicate skin and juicy filling, once you try it, you will know how they take the signature dishes so seriously. Although XiaoLongBao is the most popular dish of Din Tai Fung, they also have various kinds of cuisine, favorite dishes like “Braised Beef Noodle Soup“, “House Steamed Chicken Soup“, “Spicy Shrimp “, “Green Squash and Shrimp Xiaolongbao“, all of the dishes are so delicious that I entertain my foreign guests here every time. Dongmen Market is not only a busy traditional market but there has plenty of authentic Taiwanese snacks hidden inside the market.

The YungKung business/tourism district is focused along the YungKung street of course. The entire district is much larger, with XinYi Road to the north, QingTian St. to the east, JinHua St. to the south, and LiShui St. to the west. There are countless shops and restaurants tugged in alleys everywhere. The business is down due to shortages of tourists from China and the pandemic, but there are plenty of surprises waiting to be discovered. One could easily spent hours in the area. There are plenty of people during the weekend and holidays plus the lunch and dinner crowds. If you could visit here during the weekdays, it is truly worth it.

I stayed for 17 days in YongKang Shopping District. I really enjoyed and liked this place. I tried almost everything about food and drinks. I really liked all of them. The people here are so friendly, helpful and with an amazing discipline and respect. There are a lot of shops in this area with different types and categories. There are also some nice places to eat and here you can see how taiwanese people love food . They really love their food their traditional dishes and of course the Boba milk tea. In this area there is a lot of green trees and space to hangout with your family. For sure I will be back again
