It was renovated from former National Taiwan University's professor dormitory, especially for senior professors who fled from China to Taiwan when Chiang Kai-shek KMT government retreated to Taiwan.
The building was originally designed and built by Japanese for Imperial Japan Navy Officers' Club during Japanese occupation in Taiwan.
The courtyard and its building is roughly in H shape, and the building is a beautiful wood framed structure with metal steel bar frame for roof. Current courtyard still preserves beautiful old trees.

And, although the restaurant is open till 8:30pm, they turned off the music and air conditioner around 8pm. It is definitely not a good way to treat your paying customers.
Will probably not visit this...
