Titian Pasta — Restaurant in Taipei

Visited here for the first time per one of my family members' request. Reasons for a 1-star review is as follows:

when we walked in the space, where only one table occupied at around 6-7 pm ish, we asked if we could find a seat, and then my family member went to the restroom. The female host did not say a single word nor a greetings not even a smile, simply nothing. And then I found a seat next to the sliding door, seeing the female host immediately came over to close the door, i realized we might should have closed the sliding door for them more swiftly, due to their concern of AC leaking out causing their energy bill or any other potential concern, I smiled and said we are so sorry forgot to close the sliding door since we had a suitcase. Again - no reply not a single nodding or smile. Simply nothing.

There was actually not an explicit statement on the menu regarding a minimum consumption amount. Me and my family member were both full, just trying to find a cafe, whereas my family member was anxious to visit this restaurant simply because of the "beautiful flowers" outside.. However, out of politeness, my family member asked if there was a minimum consumption amount required, the same female host said, NTD 100 for each person. FYI - their one drink is on average NTD 80. I sincerely doubted this, maybe anyone interested or curious about can go verify this.

No WIFI.

A NTD 80 hot chocolate was in a mug like 80-100 ml ish. Just like those that we could have at our own place with the chocolate powder bought from any grocery store, w/o any milk or cream. I would have rather ordered one t FamilyMart or 7-11 or any other...

看到濃湯一碗40塊 還以為是外面那種品質很差狗狗又沒什麼南瓜 味道的湯 就像在很多百貨公司都有店面的 有很多名稱沙拉可以選的那家店的湯一樣 結果一買驚為天人非常好喝有很多南瓜味道 而且沒有很大的勾芡 奶油吃了出來放的非常非常多 我個人是比較不愛但是我對這家店的好感突然直線上升 畢竟40塊的湯品，在現在外面不會給什麼好料的 甚至很多連鎖店還有我剛說那種百貨公司的店面也都是賣50塊80塊起跳但是卻沒什麼特別的 簡單來說用料和售價膨脹很嚴重 用好幾倍的錢買完全吃不到營養又搞笑（譬如勾芡糊）的東西

然後看到很多人都吃的麵包 原來這間店有免費烤麵包啊 網路上都沒看到所以還蠻意外 麵包也是切成半片半片的， 跟那種用很爛很爛的肉的平價牛排館一樣 原本預想是吃起來就跟10年前的麵包店的吐司一樣 就是台灣那種傳統很快就壞掉 吃起來有一種麵包粉吐司味的最便宜吐司一樣 現在就連全聯的吐司都沒那種味道了

結果咬下去完全不是 那個軟糯的口感 我還以為我在吃湯種吐司 那個咬起來 在口中混雜軟形的口感 我還以為我在吃老麵麵包 我不知道為什麼或許我今天口感錯誤 但是他的麵包吃起來真的很讚 對今天的我來說。 因為它的外觀看不太出來是什麼特別的麵包 只知道不是市面上一般那種什麼吐司 我看吐司的方式是什麼它的切面孔隙看出他用料是什麼 所以這家我看起來的確不像老麵 但是他的吐司看起來跟外面一之宣還有樂田之類的台北連鎖店的確不一樣 是我追求的那種 然後冷掉之後吃起來有點空虛 感覺也是 古老的方法做的麵包

但是當下的用烤麵包機烤完真的特別好吃 那個軟糯的口感，跟烤完之後放冷了，軟趴趴咬不斷，完全爛掉了，口感完全不一樣 我認為是那台烤麵包機拯救了這個麵包 而且當下讓他吃起來跟老麵一樣的口感

今天只是去外帶一碗濃湯沒想到意外的也可以拿麵包

讓我因此有了這次的際遇 ， 也讓我發現了原來他們的烤麵包機可以整就這麼一個這麼平淡無奇又不是現代流行吐司做法的簡單低成本吐司，口感在烤完那一小段時光瞬間大升三級

所以關於這家店，完全建議內用 外帶的話，就吃不出麵包的口感了 吃起來就跟全聯最便宜的吐司一樣 完全了沒有五星的意義

但也是是經過這次 我才知道為什麼這家看起來這麼一般的麵店 可以在這裡獲得這麼多的星數評價 原來他的確是會給人一些驚豔的地方

順帶一提的 獨家秘技 加那個辣醬，在寒流來的冬天真的超暖超好吃的我的天啊 整個身體都暖上來了 沒想到這個只要一滴就很有味道的東西在吐司上是這麼絕配 然後真的只要1喔因為...

Run of the mill Taiwanese style pasta restaurant. Dishes are very much Taiwanese style and prices pretty much par for the course in Taipei. Only positives are no service charge, large portions and complimentary water and...
