Masala House offers a budget-friendly dining experience, but it may fall short for those seeking an authentic Indian flavor. The prices are indeed affordable, which is a plus, and you get decent portions that offer good value. However, while the flavors are enjoyable, they may not quite capture the traditional taste that you’d expect from an authentic Indian restaurant.
I tried the chicken biryani, mango lassi, and samosas. Each dish was acceptable—flavorful enough but lacking that rich, aromatic spice profile that makes Indian cuisine stand out. The chicken biryani had a good portion size but could use a bit more seasoning, while the mango lassi was refreshing but not quite the creamy, rich drink you might hope for. The samosas were crispy, but the filling could use a little more punch.

Read moreI've worked nearby for 6 years and my church is nearby. I can eat there everyday. If only it's not closed on Wednesdays and 3-5 in the afternoon (darn it!). I hate it when I'm craving Beef Curry and I forget it's a Wednesday. The lady knows what to get when she sees me approaching. They have a huge variety of dishes that you'd see in other Indian restaurants priced at 350-450nt that only costs around 200-300nt at Masala house. The thing is, I think their food taste better than those expensive ones... Also, the prices go down on weekdays afternoons: 150nt instead of 250. That's one thing I'm sure to miss when I leave that (work) area. I'd be happy to pay the regular price on Sundays. All my friends I've taken there loved it too....

Such as Saffron rice tasted like BUTTER rice, garlic nann tasted like BUTTER nann, sour yogurt cream tasted nothing like yogurt but mashed bean sauce, and the chicken tikka was extremely OILY looks like the chickens are floating on the oil. Finally my favorite Masala Chai/species tea, tasted no any species just like the normal milk tea, I'm soooo disappointed. Tho the price is definitely cheaper than other Indian restaurants, but we will not come here...
