討海人海產 — Restaurant in Hengchun

We stayed too long at beach today. Knowing this restaurant closes at nine, we called and asked if they can serve us. The lady answering the call is super nice. She said as long as we arrive and place order by 8:40, we can stay and finish our food.

Based on the good reviews online, we rushed to this restaurant. I am so glad that we made right decision. The atmosphere is welcoming, and food is delicious. They offer fresh local seafood, not frozen Kind. We finished everything. Even my kid who is not a seafood lover gave a thumbs up.

Lastly, the service is outstanding. We met the girl who answered my phone. She kept telling us no rush while we were eating. At the end she asked how’s the food and we chatted a bit. The pleasant conversation and good food is the best ending for today.

Well, as my wife addressed below, the owner insists of using the fresh and wild-caught seafood to prepare for their customers. The decor may not be the best in town, but as a restaurateur myself, I would highly recommend this restaurant to those who would like to enjoy the really good food rather than the simply fine decor or dining atmosphere. If you are in Kenting or plan to spend days in Kenting, come find this restaurant and enjoy the good food...

Delicious seafood restaurant in Kenting. Prices are comparable to other restaurant. We ordered squid with salted egg which makes it different to others. Olong tea is only 10NT dollars. Lots of people are dining during weekend which need to wait for the available seats. We just park along the road. Staffs are friendly. English menu is available but limited....
