Fogo Seafood refreshment — Restaurant in Hengchun

They were very fast serving the dishes we ordered and that was great because we were starving. Offered $100 NT sashimi plates which is popular and offered in many similar establishments in the area. Salmon sashimi was excellent but the tuna tasted like it's been frozen then thawed out. It wasn't bad, but I could taste the difference. The 3 cup calamari wasn't as flavorful as I'm used to but Everything else was pretty good. I would go back again. Price was reasonable. Fed 7 people for $2100 and we had a nice assortment of seafood, rice and noodles. The venus clams...

We were brought to this restaurant by our tour guide/driver. When it was empty and we were the only table during dinner time we knew something was up. The food, while wasn't horrible, certainly WASN'T good. The chicken was bland and dry, it seems that it's been cooked and waiting to be served, for a week. After dinner, on our way out, we saw the restaurant owner give a little something to the driver. That explains it. It's a small little shop with nothing around it on a dark road; come in and eat if you are starving, otherwise keep driving along ... skip...
