Garden Party — Restaurant in Hsinchu

Order the luxurious set meal . Looked pricy, but let's have a look.

The mushroom soup was good, but salad and bread with it had nothing special.

For the drink I added money to get the fruit tea, which was a bit small but ok. Not the best either.

Also add a small scallop and shrimps. Was looking nice, and good despite small quantities, which is ok here.

The steak was disappointing. First it was written 10oz, but it really didn't look like it. The steak was well cooked, but had too much fat in it. The vegetables with it not various enough, one broccoli and 6 peppers.

The second meat dishe was exactly the same idea, lamb was better but was lacking little lamb taste, and vegetables were exactly the same, which annoyed me because I only ate meat at the end. A potatoes, cauliflower, or anything different would have been welcome. The sauce with it was just terrible .

Ice cream was good. Cheese-cake was more butter-cake.

Overall, I am little disappointed for price I paid. And I had to pay cash， so had to go ATM. Fork were missing and no small plates given with meat. The environment is very nice and food was ok, but this new open restaurant has a lot to improve for...

During the time we visited, there was a really professional photographer taking pics for their meal- you can tell restaurant did pay a lot of efforts on promoting themselves. Unfortunately, it was an unpleasant experience for us. My main course didn’t come even after my friend finished the linguine she ordered. At the time, restaurant was only halal packed. To be honest, food was not as good as it look in pictures. The restaurant closes at 9:30 p.m., and we arrived at 8:00 p.m. I think this restaurant has some service issues. When we got there, the waiter simply said "rice and noodles" and looked very serious, as if we weren't welcome. It made us feel quite uncomfortable and unwelcome, so we left before placing an order.
