Skewers&Beer — Restaurant in Hsinchu

Stumbled upon this place by pure accident, saw they had craft beer, so decided to give it a shot. Friendly, lively Izakaya atmosphere. A fridge by the front door had all the craft brews, including a bunch from ugly half brewing, that I never heard of before. Both beers I tried from them - a saison and a hoppy style cider - were excellent. I also tried a melon tea beer from another brewery that was good, just very, very malty. Service was quick for the beer, a bit slower for food but I wasn't in a hurry. I had a few appetizers, including the ramen and a bacon wrapped scallop, they were pretty good. The scallop was a bit overcooked but still nice. Prices for the beer were aligned with all the other craft beer places I've been, so not cheap, but at least it's local crafts. With few empty table at 9pm and not being able to provide the bigger space for 2. Trying to reserved for bigger group on Monday night? I don’t believed! Waiter insist sitting us by the entrance door and keep the bigger table empty. Will rate service less than a star and definitely not coming back again! It’s a shame to ask the guest for 5 stars google review in exchange...

！強烈建議！：有很多美國時間又不怕餓的人再來 9/26電話訂位兩位晚上18:30，本來想說可能訂不到，沒想到還有位子，到時也準時到場。 等到點餐時，店員才說現在比較繁忙點單可能要等30分鐘哦，當下聽了也覺得ok好能理解，沒問題。 沒想到接下來才是惡夢的開始。 後來等待到先跟店員說飲料可以先上嗎，然後上了之後喝很慢也喝了已經半杯了，還沒好......之後男店員來跟好幾桌客人致歉。時間又過去了好一下子，男店員再來一次，我媽直接忍不住，罵人的口氣就出來了。但這次我本人也覺得是挺誇張的，而且不懂的是有別桌比我們晚到的，但已經有上一兩份餐點。男店員這時又來致歉，然後說因為我們點的都是烤類的所以比較久一點（我心裡想：請問有哪位來串燒居酒屋不是點烤類的居多......？！），但我看到隔壁桌比我們晚來的卻先上菜？我就只問店員一句：「那可以告訴我他們點的是什麼可以先上嗎？」而且我後來都有聽到他們有先上的一份餐也是烤的莎莎醬肉串...（這是睜眼說瞎話嗎？...）店員說他等等看一下告訴我們（想當然爾最後店員也沒告訴我們）。 然後之後又說不好意思加上因為還有早先來的客人以及「外送訂單」所以才那麼久。聽到這裡，我也知道，跟男店員講、罵店員根本沒什麼用，他們只是店員......所以這根本上就是店家業者的問題，廚房人手根本來不及做，但還要貪心接很多客人跟訂單。很多其他業者要嘛是限制現場餐廳訂位、接客數，或者更常見的是先把外送平台close掉，以免來不及。但店家就是沒採取任何措施，然後有什麼後果就讓消費者承擔就好了？！反正我餐廳還是會賺到這筆，啊浪費時間或是餓肚子的是客人消費者沒差？！

最後最後一直等到19:40～50才終於上了第一份餐點，是一個半小時多，當初說的30分鐘的三倍。 然後最後有餐點還說沒有了，幫我們取消。 恩...真的是完全吃的不愉快。即使餐點口味不錯還是吃的很難過

今天本來是難得跟我媽來想要吃個不錯串燒，但看到我媽最後居然反而氣成這樣。從沒留過google評論的我就把第一次留言給本店了。 只希望講這麼多，是真的能給之後的客人一個提醒，也拜託店家...
