原野牧場 — Restaurant in Hualien City

Speechless level of service. We asked them to check our order after more than 40 minutes, when other tables came much later than us are served. The sever said ‘let me check’ and they didn’t even come back AT ALL! No explanation whatsoever, let alone apologies.

The drinks took an hour, food came out almost 90 minutes eventually. Funny that they emphasized 90 minutes meal time, when they can barely serve the food in that time frame. Apparently other tables had same issue, as a Taiwanese lady who was complaining before me at the counter helped to translate.

After such wait, a waitress came and offered that they will not charge 10 percent service fee. What an offer!

Waiting aside, food wasn’t much worth of the price anyhow. Such a waste...

We had a party of six, recommended by host and driver. It was Friday March 26,2021. The goat bread came at 12:11 PM. We ordered pig knuckles and I had the lamb shank. It comes with salad, soup, dessert and coffee. The food was very well prepared, but at least 2 parties, myself included, experienced severe food poisoning (severe stomach cramps and diarrhea) in the middle of the night. Haven’t heard back from the other two parties, hope they’re ok but not answering or returning our calls. I’m back in Taipei but they are still in Hualien where they have a residence. I suspect that it was the goat milk that came...

quite expensive food and beverages with minimum charge (one drink), but with spectacular view. the interior of the restaurant had a strong scandinavia vibe.

better make a reservation before hand as they would try to arrange window seat. quite a walk from the main road.

it mainly served sheep milk beverage, and as someone who doesn't enjoy sheep milk, i had limited choices. even the cookie that was served with my black coffee had sheep milk. my friend's latte was made with goat's milk.

i guess for those who enjoy sheep milk would enjoy...
