What more can you say about an establishment that has been here for almost two decades?!
A lot..
It's a really, really great bar with some superiorly great f°°°ing staff! From the floor to the bar to the owners and managers. They're all quite unique and sensuous in their own odd way.
When you get to know them, they are some of the warmest individuals you ever want to meet in K-town.
But it's really a bar with wandering souls that come in for a drink and some sense of self recognition.
No matter who you are, you'll fit in. No matter what you want to drink, they'll make it for you. If you're hungry, they have way too many choices for you to choose from.
If you are in a hurry, make sure you give yourself some time because when they are busy, believe it. But they always know that your are here... Just gotta wait a bit more..
If ever you become a patron at this establishment called The Lighthouse, it is a place that you will always come back to, even if you live in another part of the world or this island. You'll never, ever forget your experience here.
That's why we keep coming back to this place, again and again.. it's not just the food nor is it the drinks nor the warm staff in the end of it. Or the locals from far and near that we luckily get to encounter.
It's us. Ourselves.
How we feel after we leave, before we get here.. we keep coming back because it makes us feel good about ourselves for surrendering our time with people that we want to spend time with..
Love you so much, Lighthouse,
Happy...
Read moreI met the owner (Eric) at the Lighthouse last week. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and sat down in a booth, I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him throwing empty bottles against the wall and making a real ruckus.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to stop customers are complaining.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back and put the bottles back and told her to add them to his tab (even though he's the owner?).
When she took one of the bottles and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bottle and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Overall was a great experience but was just really shocked and confused...
Read moreI was at Lighthouse yesterday with a group of people. We were having a good time until a drunk older guy came and started making inappropriate comments about one of the girls in our group. We later learned that this man is the owner! He was saying "if only he were 20 years younger..." and how gorgeous she is. Not only that, but we saw him sneakily taking photos of her. We then saw on his phone that he had sent her photo on a messaging app to someone else! Once we noticed, we decided against ordering another round and left. None of us will return to Lighthouse and we are telling all our friends about this incident.
This is completely unacceptable behavior and the owner should be ashamed of treating customers this way. Don't support this creepy old man. I hope the photos are worth all the future business he lost from us as...
