芙悅軒 FLAVORS — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

This Hong-Kong-style restaurant's menu includes a selection of dim sum (both traditional versions and more modern takes) and Cantonese barbecued meats. We were seated in one of their private rooms for a large party, and the service was attentive and personal.

The highlight of the meal was our pre-ordered roasted goose. That's right, not the typical duck on the menu, but goose. It was prepared and served as 4 separate courses, each with a different cooking method: crispy skin wraps, sliced breast/leg, stir-fried bones, and bone porridge/congee. Every preparation was excellent, and the goose meat was flavorful and tender.

The dim sum and other dishes were good, with another standout being the tofu pudding...

Came here for dim sum lunch. 燒賣 weren't very good, very plain. All other dishes were very light, as in 清淡 重口味的人可能會很不喜歡, probably lack of flavor for some. Even though we like our dishes light, most items could use a bit more seasoning.

We had roasted duck with 4 different dishes. Good quality of food and great service. Nice decor as well. Each table has privacy without listening other table’s conversation. This is probably the best Cantonese Dim Sum...
