小孩吃素(苓雅福建店) — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

I was very excited to try this place. However the service was bad, and I’ve been a server before so I know it’s hard, this is the first time in my life writing a bad review, but the way they handled this blew my mind. We order 2 burgers, one vegan and one non vegan. They brought one first without specifying what it was, as the server didn’t say anything and we saw cheese on it we assumed it wasn’t vegan. My friend started eating. The second one came, also with cheese. I reminded them one was supposed to be vegan, so she replied by saying she will take the cheese off? What? The cheese is already melted into the burger, what if someone is allergic? This was the first red flag but I really don’t like complaining so I said ok no problem. She came back with the same burger and said the first burger (the one my friend was halfway through eating) was the vegan one....... and gave us the non vegan one back. So now what? She said nothing or resolved nothing. I said the previous server didn’t specify which was which. Eventually she just said “so.... is that ok?” And left. I payed 420$ for a halfway eaten burger. If you are 100% vegan, I don’t suggest to eat here. I’m pretty sure the yakisoba bread is not vegan. The mayo they said was vegan, but IDK. The fried kimchi puffs (tofu skin) was really good because it had lots of cilantro, but lacked sauce and only had 1 tablespoon of kimchi. I didn’t want to complain, especially because we were on the 2nd floor. We weren’t given cutlery nor was there pepper or salt available. Eclectic decoration and awesome food. Great variety of dishes in the menu. We had the pesto risotto, the snow mushroom risotto, the satay "lamb" rice, the cordon bleu burger, cheesy chips, and soup of the day. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. I wasn't a huge fan of the cheesy chips, only because the cheese sauce is slightly sweet and that's not my preference. I would definitely come again and try other dishes!
