CAFFAINA COFFEE GALLERY KMFA Shop — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

I love this cafe. Caffaina has become my favorite place to come for coffee or tea. The tea selection is, surprisingly, very good. They have a good selection of actual real teas, like High Mountain Oolong, and Dong Fang Mei Ren (Highly recommended). I also enjoy their coffees over other cafes, including Starbucks. Their cakes are also very good, although a bit pricey.

The atmosphere here is really great as well. It has a large open, brighly lit area, with plenty of outlets. A perfect place to relax and work / study. Upstairs has a large, darker area, if you prefer that.

The only downsides, and why I don't give it 5 stars, are two. One is if you want a British style tea, which I sometimes like, you won't find one here. Their milk teas don't taste like tea at all; too much milk and sugar. Also, their breakfast selection is very bad. They used to have a decent breakfast burrito but they have since removed it.

Despite these, this cafe is amazing. I'd easily give it 5 stars but the lack of any good breakfast selection, for me, makes me remove 1 star. If you want a great atmosphere and good coffee or...

This is a great cafe. Very spacious, and relaxing. A good vibe.

Tried duck panini and smoked chicken panini, both were very good.

Rose Earl Grey tea with rock sugar syrup was refreshing.

Then of course, desserts Matcha mousse was pretty good, light and fluffy, with a thin layer of cake at the base, Match cookie at the very bottom was pretty good.

Earl Grey souffle had the right texture, very impressive for a small Cafe to offer good quality souffle. However, couldn't really taste Earl Grey flavor. The sauce (berry?) was a bit too sweet, or too strong of a flavor.... The sorbet was a good balance to the sweet souffle.

The only problem is that the establishment does not have sitting toilet, which was a problem for my mom or people with disability... I hope they can do something about it in the future. One star off....

I used to like this place a lot. Despite having to wait significantly longer for your food compared to the wait time for coffees, the place is great. Food is good and the atmosphere is really bright (with natural lighting) and relaxed. However, my experience last week is the reason for my low rating. Our coffee was made within 5 minutes from the time we placed our order. However our food took close to 30 minutes. I ended up cancelling the food order coz we had finished drinking our coffee by then and was full. The place needs to figure out their SOP when it comes to serving time differences between food and drink. The timing difference has always been annoying, but the incident during this last visit was unacceptable. Unlikely to visit the...
