Taksim Turkish Cuisine塔克辛土耳其料理 — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

Not much I can review if you can't get the food out within an hour... I just left after waiting nearly one hour (48 mins) and told the server as I was leaving that we couldn't wait any longer... She made ZERO attempt to stop us... Went next door to 日月香(best Vietnamese restaurant!)... Good luck at Taksim... I'll give them another chance in the next two weeks.

@Taksim-- this is a reply to you -- I think you must have me confused with another customer -- I can promise you that NOBODY informed us there would be a long wait... We were only told after I tried to order the combo salad that the item is no longer available. Other than that, nothing was said to us in English or Chinese (I'm an English speaker and my lunch companion was Taiwanese) about a wait. I'm sorry but 48 minutes without any word from staff is a bit much. As I mentioned i plan to give another try soon, but you should know that we were NOT TOLD the service would be...

As an Albanian with roots from Türkiye and so many shared traditions and cuisine , all I can say is that it wasn't really worthy taking pictures even tho i regret it now 🤣 Service was absolutely TERRIBLE, there's only one person working but he looked super bored and he kept disappearing all the time hence if we needed something we couldn't reach him. He's also super cold and unfriendly, not very Turkish hospitality of him (he's Taiwanese). Food was not that bad, portion was a little small, but the pita was rock hard even after dipping it and letting it soak in sauce... The price was also quite unreasonable considering the quality we received which was very disappointing. Didn't meet my expectations sadly. Decoration of the restaurant was gorgeous, very traditional Turkish elements and overall made you feel like you're sitting at a nice place near Galata tower. I will not be coming back...

Ingredients taste fresh, meats from the platter was marinated and seasoned fine, especially the chicken was so tender and flavorful. wasn't huge fan of the beef and the spice it uses 🤔 couldn't figure out the flavor and was too much for me personally. Bread with beef stew reminded me of the French dish, beef bourgnion or Korean dish, galbijjim, all in a good way. the beef here was sooo tender. we got an appetizer (cheese bread?) ended up looking and tasting like fancy flat bread pizza haha but not in a bad way. would order this appetizer again :p
