TLDR: If you like Japanese and Taiwanese food, love to have a filling and fairly good meal at a decent price, you may want to swing by this place.
Longer story: In operation for about 18 years now, this mom & pop biz serves Japanese–Taiwanese fusion dishes, including grilled fish dishes (10/10 recommend), sukiyaki/mini hotpot, and karage/fried chicken dishes, just to name a few. The eatery is primarily patronised by locals.
The food is well-balanced and available both as set meals and a la carte (if you plan to order a dish a la carte, ask the proprietor for the price; the menu only displays set meal prices). Their listed prices are decent; a grilled mackerel set (including small dishes like soup, chawamushi, Taiwanese char siew, blanched vegetables and mushrooms, purple-grained rice, and a drink) went for NTD380 at the time of my visit. (P.S. If you’re the kind of person with a small appetite and travelling with another person of equally small appetite. you might want to order one set and just add on an additional serving of rice; we recommend the purple-grained rice over white rice).
The venue is small, with the largest seating being three somewhat private rooms capable of seating up to 6 pax. Child seats are available.
Menu is in Chinese only.
There is a small, single step up from the pavement to the interior of the shop, so it may not be ideal for wheelchair-dependent patrons.
Parking is available via a public carpark located just diagonally across the nearest...
