SECOND FLOOR CAFE Xihu — Restaurant in Neihu District

It is my first-time experience to dine in this restaurant. I have a great expectation before coming here because of your reputation in Taipei. On that day, my father had dinner with his students (about 20-30 people) so we made a block booking. The first dish was the pumpkin soup. It was exceeding my expectation because the soup was made by vegetables rather than soup powder. After most of the students come, the waiter started to take our order of drinks one by one. I think the best thing in this restaurant is that we can get unlimited drinks no matter tea or carbonated drinks. We got four main dishes after the soup. I think it’s really cool that the dish combines Italian, Korean and Chinese style together. For example, Korean style fried chicken with kimchi & cream sauce on rice is really special! However, if you are the person who don’t prefer the heavy taste, you can ask the staff to recommend some light taste dishes. The staff is kind and patient, they always hanging a smile on their faces. One of the more popular brunch chains in Taiwan, second floor cafe is much recommended among Taiwanese. However, I think it’s quite overrated, as the food taste doesn’t justify the price it is charging. While service is good, we still like to visit cafes with good food. Portions are generous tho, some mains come with 2 drinks but that’s at the above $350 range. I ordered their eggs Benedict with braised pork. Great food with a great ambiance. All the staff are nice and friendly. They have plenty of seating areas with a cozy interior, perfect for relaxing or gathering with family and friends. This cafe is also pet-friendly; you can see some customers eating together with their pets.
