The hotel owner highly recommended this nearby private kitchen—a hidden gem of simple home-based cooking with minimal decor. The owner, also the chef, resides on-site, preparing his favorite dishes. Formerly a chef at a Taipei restaurant, he decided to venture out on his own. His grilling skills, especially with ribs and fish, are impressive. Tonight, we were fortunate to savor his enormous and incredibly tasty grilled spare ribs, though a touch longer on the grill would enhance tenderness. The grilled cod fish, sourced from the South Pole's deep sea, was an out-of-this-world experience—small yet remarkably flavorful and perfectly complemented by salt and pepper. The grilled giant squid, paired with a dipping salt and pepper, was a hot and delectable delight. The pan-fried tofu and egg with vegetables and cheese was equally satisfying.
