I have quite a high expectation about this restaurant after seeing the online review and decided to give it a try with my parent. I also had a growing interest in indian food based on my last visit to another indian restaurant. I ordered a paneer muter with garlic naan and a mix vegetable briyani. The first dish served was only for 2 serving (3 people on table), so I pleased my parent to eat first. The server then only serverd me a bowl of paneer muter, so I had to wait like 15 minutes for the bread to mix it, and decided to eat half of the soup while waiting. Finally, the garlic naan served, but to my surprise, it felt almost plain for garlic taste, even after I mixed it with my soup, they felt nothing special. The second dish served was mix vegetable briyani, again only for 2 serving, so I wait again about another 15 minutes while finishing my naan. When my parent had just finished their meal, my dish arrived. It just felt plain, aroma was good, but no complexicity or unique taste whatsoever, felt like eating a plate of plain rice with 2-3 brocoli, slice of tomato and some garnish. Adding it with yogurt like sour sauce only made it a little bit 'acceptable'. Only the manggo lassi was good enough. Not only I didn't enjoy my meal proplerly because of the delay, but also I kinda eat in a rush at the end. The taste just felt nothing special and almost plain, even for a vegetarian like me. At first sight, it was a cozy place, but as time passed and started to get crowded, it felt kinda warm and I noticed there was only 1 AC (?) on the main room. I felt uneasy while being there, a man (maybe guest or the owner friend) sat idly on the corner and stared at my direction about half an hour until I left this place. Such a...
Read moreI use to dine at Masala Art, another famous India restaurant in Taiwan. I think this place is better in flavor wise. They serve plenty kinds of curry for choice and the curry has a rich taste for enjoyment, never gets boring to taste.
I think the fact that they found the way to improve the speed of making food in short period of time is amazing. The first time I went there I had to wait 25 minutes until the first dish served. But now only take 5 to 10 minutes, super fast. Great improvement.
The service was good. We were served with water anytime when we needed it. The staff asked me if the menu was clear enough to understand. I appreciated his polite attitude. As an introvert, I like the quietness in the restaurant. And the Indian music played during the service time.
The only advice is that I wish there's lunch menu on foodpanda or UberEat for a quick, simple, cheaper choice for lunch.
I had dined three times here , will go again in the future.
One last thing to mention , they have good Chinese ability to order and commnicate. Considering Chinese is so hard to learn, I...
Read moreIt is baffling how rude the waiter was as soon as we arrived. The restaurant was empty. My friend asked if we could sit at some table. He dismissed us with a curt gesture as he was busy with some customer who was about to leave. When the customer left, we asked again if we could sit at that table. He answered we shouldn't because the AC was off on that side and it would be hot. My friend asked to sit there anyway. He answered "Ok but you can't change later". Weird. So we sat down and looked at the menu. He later came to pick up the extra set of cutlery we didn't need. As he approached us, he saw my foot slightly on the side of the table. He gestured at my foot to tell me to sit properly and put my foot under the table. Who does he think he is? So we simply stood up and left. What would...
