Hai Yuan Huo Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in New Taipei

My husband says they get 4 stars for freshness alone. This is a large Seafood Family Restaurant. Nothing fancy here but plenty of fresh seafood. When you arrive one of the staff meets you with a plastic laundry basket. Then you walk around to all the tanks at the back of the restaurant and pick out your supper. They then take you inside, seats your party and get the rest of your order. Quite a few side dishes to choose from. It is loud, busy and a great place for big family dinners. Never had a worse CP in Taiwan before. Our group told the man outside what we wanted. Once inside, they changed it up and we got less than we were promised. Foy that high price no one got full. The point of a set meal restaurant is to pick stuff that is in season right?

Seafood restaurant with history, many Taiwanese grew up with this restaurant. 45 minutes from city. For me it’s a fantastic place to taste fresh from the sea Taiwanese prawns and lobsters, prawns super sweet, lobster is great lots of meat inside the thin shell.
