Bitou Cape Park — Attraction in New Taipei

The trail that gives you picturesque views of the Taiwan east coast. Try to find parking as soon as you can and avoid this trail in summer or under a hot boiling sun. Then take the stairs and start climbing and after around 20mins you are already there on the first trail hill which looks out to the sea. It’s totally worth the sweat blood and tears. Then you go to the next hill and on a clear day you can see all the way upto fulong bay. From their you have 2 adventures one is to find the way to the lighthouse and the other is to go down all the way to sea coast. We went to the lighthouse the path has been blocked but locals don’t care and they just cross the fence. You keep following a well made path and you can reach the lighthouse. You can climb all the up to the peak for a marvelous view of cliffs and seas. After that you can go down to the shoreline where the water is amazing for swimming in. The currents aren’t rough the sea is warm and the marine life is awesome. So don’t forget to take your goggles and go for a quick snorkel. Remember to buy water and be wary of where you park. The snorkeling is awesome, much better than I expected considering how busy it can be. Many different kinds of fish and coral, and people seem to be responsible and respectful of the place.

Visiting the park was an impromptu for me and I'm glad we visited it! The weather was perfect! Start from the trail near the elementary school. The views are beautiful! The entire hike took us around 2.5h to complete. Because we stopped a lot to take pictures. There are various photo spots.
