My laptop and I visit a lot of cafes. As an author, I’m always looking for good places not only to eat and drink but to sit and write for hours. As a teacher, I believe in scoring according to various criteria. With that in mind, these are my opinions about this one.
Drinks: * I ordered the affogato first. It was actually my first time to try an affogato, so I can’t tell you whether it was good compared to how other cafes serve it. I only know I didn’t like it very much, but that may just be me. I should have stuck with a latte! Later I got the baked marshmallow (yes, that’s a drink!). The name made me curious, so I wanted to try it. It turned out to be a chilled chocolate drink with dense clumps of marshmallow (baked, I guess) lurking under the surface. It was sweeter than I prefer, but not bad. It came with a narrow straw that was no use at all. My advice if you plan to try this drink: bring your own wide straw or just sip from the cup. Prices: ** Variety of Menu Options Available: ** There are hardly any food items: just buttered toast, bread bucket, and a waffle, plus a few cakes in the glass case. Lots of different coffees and other drinks, though. I tried to order the buttered toast, wanting something savory after my two sweet drinks. But apparently there isn’t any toast today. Neither are there waffles or the bread bucket. Just the cakes, and I didn’t want that much additional sugar, so I didn’t get anything to eat there. If you plan to order food, you may want to call ahead and see what options there actually are before you come. Variety of Non-Coffee Drink Options: * There are teas, smoothies, a couple of sodas, cocoa, and milk, plus a few other miscellaneous drinks. English Menu? Yes, and Korean too. Wi-Fi/Charging Ports Available? Wi-Fi, yes. I only saw outlets, not charging ports. Pleasant Environment/Comfortable to Write In: * The interior is cute, with a variety of types of tables. There’s a little gravel-paved garden area out front with a few tables there as well. Unfortunately, the music is loud and obnoxious. I tried two different kinds of chairs, but both were uncomfortable for my back while typing. They probably would have been fine if I was just here to sip coffee and talk to a friend. Customer Service: ** Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (closed Tuesdays) What was the Restroom Like? Tiny but clean. Additional Comments: I’m intrigued by some of the menu items that I didn’t have a chance to try: “When Pudding meets Cold Brew”, “Dutch Ice-ball Latte” (huh?), and “Spri coffee (Sprite)”. It’s hard to imagine what Sprite would taste like in coffee! I might have to come back sometime...
Read moreIt’s a nice place for family & friends’ gathering. Good handcraft coffee in ear hook package and easily for us to enjoy when we are waiting for flight connection in Dubai airport. This time they recommend me to take Kenya AA bean with good smell of fruit. I like it and also recommend to you especially in business trip all...
