As much as I want to rate this place higher, I could not bring myself to do so as it is simply not up to my standards for that rating, especially given the relatively high price charged for the quality and portion served.

I had been to this place more than once. While each time my experience was decent, there was not one noteworthy dish. My most recent visit in January 2021 was no exception.

This location seems to have gone through a renovation since my previous visit in 2018. As a result, the place appears to be brighter and cleaner than what I remember it to be. As such, the renovation is considered a success in my book.

Our party of ten ordered a set menu. I liked the appetizers more than most of the main dishes which could be thought of as a backhanded compliment even though that is not my intention. That said, it is a reflection of the unfavorable impression I have of the main dishes.

The steamed fish was worth a special mention as a failure given the puny size and being overcooked. It was agreed by all in our party as the least satisfying dish that day.

In summary, it is not a place that I would voluntarily go back to. As with any restaurant, your experience may vary depending upon the dishes you order. Furthermore, it is my experience that sometimes the master chef of a restaurant was on leave during one visit which resulted in the same dish tasting much inferior as compared to when the master chef was present. If I can give this restaurant a zero star, I do believe I will, based on its extremely unprofessional service.

My family and I arrived at this restaurant at around 1:20 pm today for lunch. The service staff, without even trying to check with the kitchen, immediately told us that it was 1:21 pm and that their kitchen was closed at 1:20 pm. My father was hospitalized for a while, so he could only walk very slowly, and it was very clear from my dad’s appearance that he would need some reasonable accommodation.

For a restaurant claiming that it’s closed at 2:00 pm, it was extremely unreasonable that the kitchen would be closed ‘40 minutes’ before the restaurant’s closure time. In fact, I have never been to a restaurant filled with so many unprofessional staff without any empathy to their customers.

First time here, we got braised pork belly, mouth watering chicken, pig feet, soft shell crab, tofu skin with winter veggie, and a fish
