I have to give a mediocre review. I ordered using Uber Eats for delivery to my hotel in Taipei. The food arrived after being on the motorbike delivery for more than 45 minutes so everything was cold and soggy. That is not the fault of The Shack Pizza restaurant, it is the fault of a greedy Uber Eats delivery person who seemed to keep adding other pickups and deliveries while coming to my hotel (according to what I observed on the Uber app).
I do blame the restaurant for not providing utensils which I requested and for selling a piece of carrot cake that looks nothing like the gorgeous picture on their Uber Eats listing. What I purchased was carrot cake with thick cream cheese icing. What I received was carrot cake with barely any icing at all - and not utensils to eat it. So the carrot cake was thrown away, the pizza and fries were barely touched and the delivery driver was obviously (in my opinion) picking up new orders as he was coming to my hotel. He should have delivered my food ASAP while it was still hot.
This was my first terrible experience at every level with Uber Eats. I think the pizza would have been ok if it was delivered in a reasonable manner. The carrot cake was nothing like the pic on their Uber Eats listing. I do not recommend this restaurant for the...

I was shocked. I expecting it to be a little different with different products from the US. (Their veggies are local Taiwan raised!) It was actually exactly like back home. When you think of what a pizza tastes like, this pizza is that pizza!
This pizza cured my homesickness. Huge thank you to the owners for being able to bring a slice of...
Read moreThis quaint little pizza place is locatee on the southern heel of New Taipei City peeking over the Xindian river with mountainous views. But if you go at night, colorful lights create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Most importantly Jay, the owner, has a real pizza oven, and you can choose everything from your pizza base to various toppings and cheeses. We keep going back and try new combinations, and we've never had any left to take home. It's lip smacking, dive in with both hands, top standard pizzas. He has local and some international drinks, too. And some starters like wedge French fries. Really a...
